Terms of Use
Effective date: 29 April 2025
1. About the service
lnk.ua is a free URL shortener and QR code service. Some features require sign-in via external providers (Google and others).
The service is provided "as is", without any warranty of availability, data preservation, or fitness for a particular purpose. We may change or discontinue any feature at any time without notice.
By using the service you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the service.
2. Prohibited uses
You may not create short links or QR codes that lead to:
- phishing, fake login pages, or credential theft;
- malware, spyware, exploits, or drive-by downloads;
- fraud, scams, financial pyramid schemes, or fake "giveaways";
- child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexualisation of minors;
- the sale of illegal substances, weapons, forged documents, or stolen accounts and data;
- content that infringes copyright, patents, or trademarks of others;
- doxxing, harassment, or disclosure of others' personal data without consent;
- threats, incitement to violence, extremism, terrorism or its promotion;
- spam and bulk messaging (email, SMS, messengers, social networks);
- redirect chains and cloaking that hide the destination URL from our checks;
- any other content unlawful in the jurisdiction of the user or the service operator.
The following are also prohibited: automated link creation that bypasses reasonable rate limits, attempts to hack the service, exploitation of vulnerabilities, and circumvention of blocks.
3. We check every link
Every short link is automatically checked against Google Safe Browsing and our own signals. Suspicious links and user reports are reviewed manually.
Without notice and without giving reasons, we may:
- block a specific short link or the entire destination domain;
- delete a link, suspend an account, revoke API tokens;
- preserve technical data related to the violation for investigation and disclosure to law enforcement.
You can report a link or domain through the abuse form.
4. Cooperation with law enforcement
If you use the service for illegal activity, we will hand your data over to law enforcement upon a valid official request. We will not hide or delete logs in response to informal requests.
What we store and how to submit a request is described in section 7 of the Privacy Policy.
Where there is an imminent threat to life or indicators of CSAM, we may disclose data on our own initiative without an official request.
5. Liability
- You are solely responsible for the content your short links point to.
- We do not control or moderate the destination websites and are not liable for their operation, security, or legality.
- Following short links is at your own risk.
- Because the service is free, our maximum liability to you is limited to zero.
6. Account
You are responsible for the security of your account at the external provider. You can delete your account at any time from the settings page; technical logs and data related to investigations may be retained longer.
7. Changes to the terms
We may change these terms at any time. Material changes will be published on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the service after such an update means you accept the new version.
